Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) has the best engineering program in state of Maryland. In an effort to encourage and ensure young women to continue in the engineering program, HCPSS in partnership with local and regional engineering associations and businesses are hosting a “Women in Engineering” Day. The event will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in celebration of “National Engineers Week.” The event will take place at the HCPSS Applications and Research Laboratory (ARL). Roy Rosnik, a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) teacher, is planning this daylong event for approximately 100 young women currently enrolled in PLTW to complete the program and continue to pursue engineering as a career.
