Skills USA Raises Money For Grassroots

Change for Change The Howard County Applications and Research Laboratory (ARL) Chapter of Skills USA, under the program sponsorship of Rhonda Lang, led a “Change for Change” war between the different academies at ARL. Visual Communications Fieldtrip to D.C.

The ARL Visual Communications Academy’s Advanced Animation and Advanced Graphic Design students recently went on a field trip to the Hirshhorn Museum and National Museum of History History in Washington D.C. to explore professional applications of animation, graphic design and photography.

STEM fair winners

Biotechnology Academy students Felice Henriquez and Tara Bellido de Luna won first place and Cheyenne Palm won second place in the Mentored category of the Howard County STEM fair for the science experiments conducted as part of their capstone project.

Personal Finance Challenge

The Academy of Finance won the State Personal Finance Challenge. Team member Johnathan Taylor, Brooke Rankin, Austin Adamczyk, and Matthew Poltorak will compete at nationals in Kansas City, MO on May 6th.
